Collection: JianPing Meng 孟剑平

Born in Shanghai China, in 1962.Jian Ping Meng is a fine art artist specialized in abstract landscapes, floral subjects and ballerina. The visual is simplified  but multi-layered to communicate the true complexity of our relationship with nature. Since 1985, Jian Ping Meng has travelled to about 30 countries across the five continents specializing in artistic productions, artshow,design and art education. After settling in Canada, he continued his artistic work and philosophy and is currently the Associate Dean for the Niagara Centre for Arts Academy and Director for Toronto's Gallery

1962年出生于上海,幼年起师从著名美术教育家孟光先生和旅美画家李同欣先生学习西洋美术,与上海著名画家陈逸飞,邱瑞敏,魏景山先生师出同门。1983年毕业于上海轻工业高等专科学校装潢美术系,期间师从著名水彩画家张英洪先生和意象派画家陈培荣先生,谢立冈先生。

1985年起由于工作原因，游历全球五大洲三十多个国家和地区从事西洋美术创作、展览设计、平面设计及美术教育工作。移民加拿大后,作为自由职业画家身份，目前主要在多伦多从事西洋美术创作和教学工作,任尼亚加拉中心学院艺术分院副院长,多伦多Hi Art 画廊艺术总监。

艺术创作主要以抽象，芭蕾，花卉为题材，不少作品被加拿大主流社会各界名人收藏，也在高端绘画收藏上获得普遍认同。
